i began yoga in 2013 when a friend invited me to a hot power vinyasa class. i had been working in the beauty industry for 5 years and suffered from chronic pain, stress and bUrn out. i loved the way yoga encouraged me to be present and intentional with my body and mind. Yoga has touched every part of my life and has allowed me to live more mindfully, CONSCIOUSLY and step out of my thoughts and into my heart. after living in new york city for 2 years, i moved back to cleveland and changed my career path in the direction of yoga. I opened sanctuary in the summer of 2019 to share peace, refuge and build a non-JUDGMENTAL atmosphere & community in nature for everyone who crosses our path. In my class you can expect challenging transitions, fun music, positive affirmations and release. I encourage everyone not to take themselves too seriously. When im not at the studio, i enjoy cooking vegan food, gardening, traveling, antiquing, playing with my 3 dogs, creating art, hiking, reading and spending time with my beloved partner, family and friends.

I was introduced to yoga while in grad school and quickly realized that it was the perfect fit for this former dancer and current runner. I had to opportunity to dive deeper into my practice by completing my 200 hour training through LifePower in 2013. As a mental health professional, my "real pants" job is a School Counselor, I love that I can bring my two passions together by teaching a class that weaves in aspects of mindfulness that can be taken off the mat. I am a firm believer that yoga is a practice for everybody and every body, so I create classes that are accessible to all students, at any level. I focus a lot on alignment, functional movement and use of props as a way to support and deepen one’s practice.

My yoga journey started during my formative years in India, where I was born and raised. Later, I spent a decade living in Hong Kong before embarking on a global adventure as a flight attendant for a major international airline. This experience allowed me to travel extensively before eventually settling in the United States. These diverse experiences have given me a broad perspective on the world and enriched my understanding of different cultures and human interactions. My yoga practice and teaching journey began as a personal quest for balance and inner peace, evolving into a transformative experience that brought me home to myself, and I continue to be a student of life in this embodied human experience. My view of the world is that we are more alike than we are different. Combining the art of yoga with the science of nursing, i bring a unique perspective to the mat. Whether guiding students through gentle flows, power vinyasa, or empowering them with challenging asanas, i emphasize mindfulness, alignment, and the therapeutic benefits of each pose. This holistic approach reflects my dedication to fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
